Drop-in care is defined as care requested by an enrollment-eligible family for a child not enrolled in the Center. This care is not meant for the purpose of ongoing, consecutive care, but as a way to provide child care for those families with a temporary need (i.e. regular center closed for the day, nanny is on vacation for a week).
A minimum of 48 hours' notice is needed for Drop-in care. A mini Intake Conference must take place before actual Drop-in care can take place. This is where the child meets the teacher(s), is introduced to the classroom and all paperwork is checked to make sure it is complete.
