Ever wanted to learn self-defense? Looking for new ways to strengthen your body? Could you use a primer on Facebook or the fundamentals of eBay? If you’re at least 50 years old, then mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 24 from 8:00a – 3:30p. St. Mary’s Hospital along with the Monona Terrace, YMCA and Madison Senior Center are proud to sponsor this year’s 6th Annual Full Speed Ahead After 50 program. It’s a day long event, filled with exciting ways to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.
A nominal registration fee of just $18 gives you access to twenty workshop choices, including but not limited to: self defense, belly dancing, yoga, gardening, eBay fundamentals, baby boomer boot camp, ask the nutrition expert, strength training and ways to get a good night’s sleep. In addition there are free health screenings like blood pressure, bladder consultation, eye pressure screening, falls “get up and go” test, osteoporosis consultations, sleep evaluation and weight management information. Your entry fee also includes lunch! And following lunch, listen to the lively and entertaining PianoFondue, an active and engaging dueling piano show encouraging crowd participation!
