Madison, Wis – Community Car, Madison’s car-sharing company, is making it even easier for Madisonians to move around. Beginning Tuesday, January 19th, the company will locate a vehicle in the visitor parking ramp at St. Mary’s Hospital. The vehicle, sponsored by the Madison Community Foundation, will be available to anyone in the area that belongs to the car-sharing program.
“St. Mary’s Hospital is an ideal location for this Community Car,” says Tom Linfield,
Vice President of Grantmaking and Community Initiatives for the Madison Community Foundation. “It’s on a bus line, there are lots of people coming and going, and it’s nestled in a residential area. We expect it to be a very welcome addition to the neighborhood.”
“I’m proud to be representing two outstanding organizations with this launch,” says Frank Byrne, President of St. Mary’s Hospital and a board member of the Madison Community Foundation. “Community Car is a wonderful way to provide transportation on an as-needed basis and St. Mary’s is happy to be able to help by housing the vehicle.”
