Here’s an idea that’s just ducky: every baby born at St. Mary’s Hospital on June 1 will get to see every quack of the Mallards bat for free! St. Mary’s Hospital has teamed up with the Madison Mallards to provide a lifetime pass to every baby born between midnight and 11:59pm on June 1, 2009.
On hand to congratulate the mothers will be Maynard himself! During the morning of June 1, Maynard will be waddling around the Family Birth Center handing out gift packages along with news of the free tickets.
"We're excited to participate in this unique opportunity with our friends, the Madison Mallards," says Frank Byrne, MD, President of St. Mary's Hospital. "The birth of a child is an amazing experience. Now every time there's a home Mallards game, families will remember that very special day with their son or daughter's free ticket."
Maynard will be sharing pictures or video of the newborns and mothers at the game on the night of June 1. Those mothers and babies will be invited back to the Duck Pond later in the season for recognition.
